It has been a busy 24 hours! This time last night I discovered Lizajdesign had been chosen by Jacqueline Gold, Chief Executive of Ann Summers and Knickerbox as one of the winners of the #WOW competition. #WOW stands for Women on Wednesdays and is run on Twitter where women tweet their business to @Jacqueline_Gold on that day between 1-3pm, she judges the entries and RT's her favourite three.

So I would like to say a personal thank you to Jacqueline Gold for recognising the Lizajdesign business; the comment of a "Great website" is very much gratified as it has only just been relaunched and took many many hours to come together. I would like to say another big thank you! to Tia at whoatemycrayons.com who redesigned the old logo and gave the giraffe a new look with a lovely new font depicting my painted leaves giving inspiration to the whole concept of the new website design.

It has been a busy time but the fantastic new logo redesigned by lovely Tia at whoatemycrayons.com is live on the website! Thank you Tia x

Recently my products were featured in the notonthehighstreet.com SALE so I had become extremely busy so the new logo has taken a little bit longer to go live on the website.

The new 2011 prints have become popular, the new look website features the new pricing structure for all prints. They will remain in line with the sale price £18.00 for a non-personalised mounted picture and £22.00 for a personalised picture print; with the exception of the Football Name Print which is highly personalised priced at £24.00 (frames are priced at £20.00). Popular designs at the moment are the Football Print and the Pirate Print, here's a couple of orders done in the last few days:

Today the website has been fully redesigned and uploaded with the new logo, products and pricing structure. So I have said goodbye to my old website look:

Woodland Nursery

I've been meaning to take a few photographs of my 'woodland' inspired nursery. The main inspiration was the wallpaper that I had seen first from Laura Ashley it is a pretty white paper with sage, pinks and lavender metallic trees on. I also purchased the design in the fabric and made a large cushion and re-covered the tie backs on the existing curtains to bring them into the theme. The deer cushion was bought complete from Laura Ashley, along with the heart lavender sachets, storage boxes and a future matching duvet cover.

The colours on the wallpaper inspired the background colours of the picture canvases; picking up the white, sage, pale pink, lavender and apricot. I then created five woodland characters a bear, deer, bunny, owl and fox. The canvases were hand painted and placed either side of the window and around the cot. I knew this time round I wanted the picture canvases as my eldest I painted a huge teddy bear mural on her wall and feel there will come a day I will have to paint over that, yet the canvases can be kept or moved to another room in the future.

The woodland height chart and additional deer stickers are from Great Little Trading Co.

 I found a lovely Owl clock from Not On The High Street.com which was made by lulabird

 

Recently I have expanded my products and developed prints that are printed on heavyweight 310gsm Museum grade fine art paper then individually signed and dated. Shown here is the Woodland Picture Prints taken from my original artwork available at lizajdesign.co.uk and my store at notonthehighstreet.com prices start at £20.00 for a mounted print or £40.00 each for the white framed prints shown.

Finally I introduce the new Woodland Owl Picture Print Personalised which I shall be uploading shortly onto the system, this just finishes off the nursery nicely and will be available with a purple, pink or white framed option, priced at £45.00. Now available here

New designs launched on website

It has been a busy month of new design requests coming in, which has been fantastic! I've only now had chance to share them with you and upload them to my website and Not On The High Street website; well all bar the pastel orange version of Jungle Pastel Name Canvas, coming soon!

I've had two requests for the Pirate Scene Canvas painted with a girl pirate and not soon after the Football Name Canvas with a girl footballer so these have become new designs for 2011. Both the pirate and the football designs are also available as my new growing print collection:

The Football Name Print is available in the boy and girl designs as a mounted (unframed) option or framed in these beautiful chunky wooden frames in two colourways -green or white.

Giraffe!

 

 

On a recent trip to France I visited an amazing zoo where you get right up close to the animals. Here I have captured my favourite the giraffe of which is the original inspiration around Lizajdesign! Isn't she beautiful!

New Pirate Girl Picture Print Personalised

Since featuring in the Vogue Magazine, April 2011 edition I had been extremely busy and I carry on releasing my original artwork as a new line of prints. Recently I had a request for the Pirate Original design to be a girls name, the customer said the little girl named Grace father was a Captain and she loved boats, ships etc. I have now uploaded the new design so it is available on my website and on notonthehighstreet website. The print can be supplied mounted or as pictured in a gorgeous pink chunky wooden frame, personalised with any name.

The April edition of Vogue Magazine is out this week and featured inside is an example of my new range of products being launched. The magazine is published for sale March 10th and my new range of products will be launched also on March 10th 2011.
