Small Business Sunday Winners Event - Edgbaston Stadium

WOW! What more can I say, as if winning the Small Business Sunday Tweet back in September 2011 wasn't enough, last Friday 30th March I attended the #SBS Winners event at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham and met the delightful Theo Paphitis himself.

 I finally got to meet the lovely Tia Lush herself from; Tia has spent hours on the other end of the computer re-designing my giraffe logo and creating leaflets and business cards from the Lizajdesign images, highly recommended!

Putting faces to Twitter names and fellow designers

I also had the opportunity to meet other successful Small Business Sunday Winners who often are on the other end of Twitter for advise and fellow crafty designer suppliers. From Left to Right- in red Jo from, myself dressed in the signature orange and with my giraffe mascot, Gabriella in lime from and Becky at the front from , oh and the lady in the red spotted top in the background is the delightful Heidi from Giddy Kipper!

Theo Paphitis gave us a wonderful and inspiring long talk about business and the developments of the Small Business Sunday, creating a new logo and a fantastic website designed and hosted by Chris Wheeler @metalfrogst who happens to be based in East Anglia too!

After taking the time to talk to us all Theo Paphitis presented us with a winners certificate and the opportunity to have our photograph taken professionally.

The event was hosted by Ryman's, thank you for such a wonderful event and the goodie bag! Here I am with Kypros Kyprianou the Chief Executive of Ryman.
Finally after thanking Theo for all his time he had given up to inspire all the small businesses at the event, another photo opportunity that couldn't be missed!

    Unfortunately I didn't get to stay at the event for long, but was lucky enough to meet the man himself and grab a cheesy photograph.
