The giraffe got wet!

Today the giraffe reached new surroundings...

Normally the Lizajdesign giraffe would end up on a newly decorated nursery wall or wrapped up neatly in orange tissue paper ready to give as a gift for a newborn baby, Christening present or a birthday gift; however today the giraffe was found in the water!

The giraffe has found pride of place on Tom Yallop's powerboat No. 71 for Parklands Racing and today Tom was racing locally in Oulton Broad for the Lowestoft Grand Prix as part of the bank holiday weekend (26/27 May) 2013 Powerboat GP RYA British Championship  

 

Tom is competing for the GT30 class in the second round of the British Championship, "hosted by the Lowestoft and Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club at Nicholas Everitt Park, where over 40 team’s battle it out for valuable championship points in eight different classes" (quote: RYA Powerboat Racing).

So another day tomorrow, try and spot the giraffe on No.71 on the water, Good Luck Tom!

Jungle Pastel Name Canvas for Sophie and Oliver

Jungle Pastel Name Canvas

 In my last post I mentioned that I had been recently asked to create the Jungle Name Canvas suitable for a boy and a girl, so here are the finished results! 

These Name Canvases would look lovely in a jungle themed nursery for twins that share the same room. The design is the Jungle Pastel Name Canvas priced from £55.00, Sophie is painted on a pastel orange background and Oliver the pastel green background.

Jungle Name Canvases- Personalised

Recently I got asked whether I could provide two Jungle Themed Name Canvas suitable for twins, with a slight varient for a boy and a girl. It inspired me to produce the above sample- to showcase a selection of recent works within the Jungle Theme. 

The Jungle Original Name Canvas was the first ©2007 personalised Name Canvas designed, initially on the lemon coloured background. This design features the giraffe and monkey with a lion in the top right-hand corner and the tiger in the bottom right-hand corner with a zebra and an elephant. The background colours progressed to also include green and turquoise; it is available in two standard sizes - Medium (up to 8 letters) or Large (up to 10 letters).

A smaller sized personalised canvas was created called the Jungle Original Name Canvas Plaque- which just features two characters, the giraffe and lion, available on green, turquoise or lemon background colourways.

To co-ordinate with the pastel colourways a different Name Canvas was designed ©2008 titled Jungle Pastel Name Canvas, again available in sizes Medium or Large. The slight varient features the giraffe and monkey with a crocodile in the top right-hand corner and lion in the bottom right-hand corner with a zebra and snake. It is available on a growing numbers of colours due to previous requests, currently Pastel Orange, Pastel Green, Pastel Blue, Pastel Pink.

The smaller version is called the Jungle Pastel Name Canvas Plaque shown above in the Pink colour option but is also available on Pastel Blue and Pastel Green.

So the answer to the question is "yes" there are options to have two identical themed canvases with a slight twist for a boy or a girl and if there is a particular colour that you have in mind and I haven't shown, please enquire as these are hand-painted canvases- usually anything can be done!

Happy New Year 2013- The year of the Snake!

Happy New Year 2013! Last year went soo quickly, the Christmas tree is now down and normality for 2013 is starting all over again, well nearly... Small Business Sunday Winners Event - Edgbaston Stadium

WOW! What more can I say, as if winning the Small Business Sunday Tweet back in September 2011 wasn't enough, last Friday 30th March I attended the #SBS Winners event at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham and met the delightful Theo Paphitis himself.

 I finally got to meet the lovely Tia Lush herself from whoatemycrayons.com; Tia has spent hours on the other end of the computer re-designing my giraffe logo and creating leaflets and business cards from the Lizajdesign images, highly recommended!

I also had the opportunity to meet other successful Small Business Sunday Winners who often are on the other end of Twitter for advise and fellow notonthehighstreet.com crafty designer suppliers. Theo Paphitis gave us a wonderful and inspiring long talk about business and the developments of the Small Business Sunday, creating a new logo and a fantastic website designed and hosted by Chris Wheeler @metalfrogst who happens to be based in East Anglia too!

New Lizajdesign Logo

It has been a busy time but the fantastic new logo redesigned by lovely Tia at whoatemycrayons.com is live on the website! Thank you Tia x

Recently my products were featured in the notonthehighstreet.com SALE so I had become extremely busy so the new logo has taken a little bit longer to go live on the website.

The new 2011 prints have become popular, the new look website features the new pricing structure for all prints. They will remain in line with the sale price £18.00 for a non-personalised mounted picture and £22.00 for a personalised picture print; with the exception of the Football Name Print which is highly personalised priced at £24.00 (frames are priced at £20.00). Popular designs at the moment are the Football Print and the Pirate Print, here's a couple of orders done in the last few days:

Giraffe!

 

 

On a recent trip to France I visited an amazing zoo where you get right up close to the animals. Here I have captured my favourite the giraffe of which is the original inspiration around Lizajdesign! Isn't she beautiful!
