 In my last post I mentioned that I had been recently asked to create the Jungle Name Canvas suitable for a boy and a girl, so here are the finished results! 

These Name Canvases would look lovely in a jungle themed nursery for twins that share the same room. The design is the Jungle Pastel Name Canvas priced from £55.00, Sophie is painted on a pastel orange background and Oliver the pastel green background.

Jungle Name Canvases- Personalised

Recently I got asked whether I could provide two Jungle Themed Name Canvas suitable for twins, with a slight varient for a boy and a girl. It inspired me to produce the above sample- to showcase a selection of recent works within the Jungle Theme. 

The Jungle Original Name Canvas was the first ©2007 personalised Name Canvas designed, initially on the lemon coloured background. This design features the giraffe and monkey with a lion in the top right-hand corner and the tiger in the bottom right-hand corner with a zebra and an elephant. The background colours progressed to also include green and turquoise; it is available in two standard sizes - Medium (up to 8 letters) or Large (up to 10 letters).

A smaller sized personalised canvas was created called the Jungle Original Name Canvas Plaque- which just features two characters, the giraffe and lion, available on green, turquoise or lemon background colourways.

To co-ordinate with the pastel colourways a different Name Canvas was designed ©2008 titled Jungle Pastel Name Canvas, again available in sizes Medium or Large. The slight varient features the giraffe and monkey with a crocodile in the top right-hand corner and lion in the bottom right-hand corner with a zebra and snake. It is available on a growing numbers of colours due to previous requests, currently Pastel Orange, Pastel Green, Pastel Blue, Pastel Pink.

The smaller version is called the Jungle Pastel Name Canvas Plaque shown above in the Pink colour option but is also available on Pastel Blue and Pastel Green.

So the answer to the question is "yes" there are options to have two identical themed canvases with a slight twist for a boy or a girl and if there is a particular colour that you have in mind and I haven't shown, please enquire as these are hand-painted canvases- usually anything can be done!

Spring time newborn gifts

It's been a busy Easter holidays, here is a selection of orders that have gone out recently. This time of the year (now it's starting to get a little warmer) is a great choice for the Farm Original range.

Spring time newborn lambs, cows, foals, chickens and ducks all feature in this range and is a popular gift for a newborn baby and to add that finishing touch to a new nursery room. Products can be personalised, gift wrapped and you can even add a special gift note and send direct to that special person.

Also featured here is the Gingham Bunny Picture Canvas Personalised - bunny design that is personalised, lovely for a little newborn girl, Christening or for a young girls birthday present.

What's in a name?

I recently had two orders within hours of one another for the same name "Thomas" but different designs, they were to be sent to completely different addresses so I presume they were not intended for the same person. To show you how "Thomas" looks in the two designs:

Number of letters..

On the medium sized canvas I stipulate up to 7 letters in the name as from doing many this number always fits perfectly. Though recently I had an order come through with the name "Benjamin" but because the name includes the letters "j" and "i" I was just able to make it fit- so if you have got an 8 letter name that includes narrow letters just double check as I could probably make it fit.

Happy New Year 2013- The year of the Snake!

Happy New Year 2013! Last year went soo quickly, the Christmas tree is now down and normality for 2013 is starting all over again, well nearly... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The Summer holiday's - mini me artist!

   It's the final few weeks of the Summer Holidays and with a recent press release in the Easy Living Magazine, orders to fulfil and a special large commission project to do, Lizajdesign will not be commencing any new orders until 1st September 2012. Summer Holiday Collection by mini L. Cole (age 6) 2012

 While my eldest is off school I've had a little 'mini me' artist re-creating my works, loving painting directly onto canvases she has even named a few characters!

The farm animal duck and chicken have been named 'Seedy' and "Bready' respectively, as shown on this felt-tip coloured drawing on paper by mini L.Cole. 

The Farm animal sheep has been named 'Dotty' with a baby on a meadow, emulsion on canvas by mini L.Cole (age 6).

The Jungle animal leopard has been given a Hello Kitty style bow and named 'Spotty'! Emulsion on canvas by mini L. Cole.
