New Pony Design

  It's been a busy month designing a new collection now titled "Pony". I was recently asked to do a commission for a daughter's bedroom to include one larger hand painted canvas of her favourite pony "Dave" and two smaller canvases of different colour ponies to complement the larger one. Above is a photograph of the three canvases amongst some other orders I had just completed on that day. The Jungle Original Picture Canvases are still proving popular as well as the Jungle Original Name Plaque which is an ideal Christmas gift priced at £32.00, shown here with the new Personalised gift notes priced at £2.00 to add that special touch for a truly original gift.

 The Pony Portrait was created by using a photograph supplied by the customer. Only the head of the pony is used so a good head shot on the side is recommended when providing an image of you favourite pony.

Lizajdesign in the local newspaper today!

Lizajdesign has today been featured in my local newspaper, after it's Twitter success, as chosen by Theo Pathitis 'Small Business Sunday'. The article features a little bit 'about me' and how Lizajdesign originated!

Last night I was extremely pleased to discover Lizajdesign has been selected by Theo Paphitis as one of the winners for his #sbs competition held on a Sunday evening!

#sbs stands for Small Business Sunday where small businesses tweet their business between the hours of 5pm to 7.30pm on a Sunday through Twitter. Theo Paphitis then selects (looking through hundreds of entries) and retweets his favourite six. Here is the retweet:

Supporting Riot Raffle

I have just updated my website to include the badge that Lizajdesign is supporting Riot Raffle.

What is Riot Raffle?

Riot Raffle was set up by the lovely Zoe Grant http://twitter.com/#!/zoeanddrew after watching the riots that devastated our capitals on Monday 8th August, Zoe blogged "Feeling helpless as I do not live close enough to pop along and help and realising I wasn’t the only person feeling this way I had an idea of a raffle" (quote http://www.riotraffle.org/about/ ).

After much help with setting up a website and a logo Zoe created Riot Raffle "Riot Raffle is about a creative community coming together to support other independent businesses in a time of crisis. Today we have over 80 independent businesses donating prizes for Riot Raffle" (quote http://www.riotraffle.org/about/ ).

Riot Raffle is such a good cause and it's in association with Retail Trust which looks after the people in retail, those business that were damaged and destroyed by the Riots.

Lizajdesign has donated the Jungle Monkey Personalised Print (more details can be found on my website click here. I chose to donate this prize as it is a universal personalised print that would be suitable for a boy or girl in the popular cheeky monkey design!

It has been a busy 24 hours! This time last night I discovered Lizajdesign had been chosen by Jacqueline Gold, Chief Executive of Ann Summers and Knickerbox as one of the winners of the #WOW competition. #WOW stands for Women on Wednesdays and is run on Twitter where women tweet their business to @Jacqueline_Gold on that day between 1-3pm, she judges the entries and RT's her favourite three.

So I would like to say a personal thank you to Jacqueline Gold for recognising the Lizajdesign business; the comment of a "Great website" is very much gratified as it has only just been relaunched and took many many hours to come together. It has been a busy time but the fantastic new logo redesigned by lovely Tia at whoatemycrayons.com is live on the website! Thank you Tia x

Recently my products were featured in the notonthehighstreet.com SALE so I had become extremely busy so the new logo has taken a little bit longer to go live on the website.

A selection of orders recently gone out.

The new 2011 prints have become popular, the new look website features the new pricing structure for all prints. They will remain in line with the sale price £18.00 for a non-personalised mounted picture and £22.00 for a personalised picture print; with the exception of the Football Name Print which is highly personalised priced at £24.00 (frames are priced at £20.00). Popular designs at the moment are the Football Print and the Pirate Print, here's a couple of orders done in the last few days:
