Small Business Sunday Winners Event - Edgbaston Stadium

WOW! What more can I say, as if winning the Small Business Sunday Tweet back in September 2011 wasn't enough, last Friday 30th March I attended the #SBS Winners event at the Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham and met the delightful Theo Paphitis himself.

 I finally got to meet the lovely Tia Lush herself from whoatemycrayons.com; Tia has spent hours on the other end of the computer re-designing my giraffe logo and creating leaflets and business cards from the Lizajdesign images, highly recommended!

I also had the opportunity to meet other successful Small Business Sunday Winners who often are on the other end of Twitter for advise and fellow notonthehighstreet.com crafty designer suppliers. Theo Paphitis gave us a wonderful and inspiring long talk about business and the developments of the Small Business Sunday, creating a new logo and a fantastic website designed and hosted by Chris Wheeler @metalfrogst who happens to be based in East Anglia too!

Logo Re-design Phase 2

The new giraffe logo has expanded into some gorgeous leaflets and business cards thanks to the lovely Tia Lush at www.whoatemycrayons.com. Tia has a fantastic eye for design - re-arranging the Lizajdesign images and creating stunning eye-catching layouts and text. The leaflet is the new 2012 Personalised Gift Guide, a link to view online can be found on the home page at www.lizajdesign.co.uk.

Mother's Day don't forget "Mum's to be..."

It has been a while since Lizajdesign has 'blogged' mainly because it has been a busy time in the Lizajdesign studio!

Tomorrow is Mother's Day and I recall when I was due with my first child, my expectant date was supposed to be before Mother's Day fell and I kept wondering will I be a mother on Mother's Day? As it happened I was overdue so missed that day for that year, but it has been made up since!

Mother's Day is also a day for expectant mum's to be! The Lizajdesign website home page has a showcase of hand painted picture canvases made for your nursery for that finishing touch in preparation to finally becoming a mum! Hand painted canvases have a delivery time of up to 21 days so order early if you want to get the nursery prepared and finished for when that day finally arrives.

10" Picture Canvases back in stock mid January 2012

It has been a little crazy in the Lizajdesign studio preparing orders for Christmas, not just for gifts but for new nursery rooms being created for newborns due around this time of year! Recently Lizajdesign had several orders for size 10" canvases (some pictured in working progress above). All the orders have been fulfilled for the Pre-Christmas deliveries but new stock of blank canvases in the 10" size will not arrive until mid January 2012, so they have temporarily gone out of stock on the websites.

For your information 12", 8" are still currently available and a new 6" size limited stock will be launched very soon...

Pony Design on lemon - Jungle on turquoise

 

I had some lovely orders to dispatch the other day and I'd thought I would share them (in a spare five minutes of Christmas madness)! Shown is the Jungle Original Name Canvas on a turquoise background and the new Pony Prints on a lemon and on a lilac background.

 

The Pony Print Personalised is available on eight different background colours and can be personalised with a name of your choice. As standard is comes supplied as the picture here shows secured in a white core mount and backboard packaged in a cello bag; optional frame choices are available.

The Jungle Original Name Canvas is available on three different background colour options and can be personalised with a name up to 7 letters (medium size) and up to 9 letters (large size).

All items come gift wrapped in orange tissue paper as standard, orders over £30.00 have free mainland UK delivery and orders under £30.00 for the month of November P&P has been reduced to £1.45 (normally £2.45).

Don't forget hand painted products need to be ordered by Monday 5th December for Christmas delivery!

New Pony Design

  It's been a busy month designing a new collection now titled "Pony". I was recently asked to do a commission for a daughter's bedroom to include one larger hand painted canvas of her favourite pony "Dave" and two smaller canvases of different colour ponies to complement the larger one. Above is a photograph of the three canvases amongst some other orders I had just completed on that day. The Jungle Original Picture Canvases are still proving popular as well as the Jungle Original Name Plaque which is an ideal Christmas gift priced at £32.00, shown here with the new Personalised gift notes priced at £2.00 to add that special touch for a truly original gift.

 The Pony Portrait was created by using a photograph supplied by the customer. Only the head of the pony is used so a good head shot on the side is recommended when providing an image of you favourite pony.
